Martial Arts

Because we were discussing my martial arts career, this is a picture
that was taken the day after I tested for my black belt, and was
moments before it was awarded to me. It was a quick self defense demo
I was doing on a defense from a left hand lapel grab.

Wow, what a great picture. I always wanted to get into self defense, mainly because it's a great way to discipline yourself, but I never got into it. I guess it's not too late to get into it, but that's great that you've received your black belt. (Is it true that you have to register your fists as lethal weapons after?)

LOL. No, you don't have to register your fists as lethal weapons. I do have an ID card, though, identifying me as a black belt affiliated with my school and the Independent Tae Kwon Do Association.

And yes, it's never too late. I started martial arts when I was 37. We have adults in our school that started when they were 50. There's a martial art that is appropriate for every age group.
