Open Letter to Mike From Big Brother

Mike, who the hell are ya?

No, not "how," but "who?" Who the hell are ya?

Sure, we see your smiling face here to the right, but who are you? If there was one thing that saw your demise on Big Brother it was that you never put yourself out there, not your person or your beliefs. The other HGs didn't know where you stood on anything, and that was your undoing.

Well, okay, there was one other glaring reason you're gone. You set yourself up in an alliance on day one with a woman that has the worst game, possibly even in BB history, a guy that is playing everyone in the game, including you, and another guy that isn't well-liked at all, because everyone thinks he is a major pervert.

That first week, while you kept to yourself, Kail kept herself holed up in the HoH entertaining guests and sharing a bed with the fun nanny. The only time you were seen, you were never opening your mouth. Zach was opening his mouth up too much, as he wanted everyone to know how smart he was. Nick was opening up his mouth too much, telling three women about your alliance. Meanwhile, it was too odd for Kail to be talking to guys all the time, so Dick and Dustin were actually figuring out the Mrs. Robinson alliance a week before the information began spilling.

You guys were all so happy when Jen won HoH for the second week, but all it did was expose you more. Everyone was putting Kail with you three guys, and with Jen with Kail, it was apparent that all her HoH decisions went along with what the rest of you would want as well. Sure, you guys got her to put up Dani and Dick, but he was already onto you and Kail together, so all you did was create an automatic enemy in Dick.

It would have been much better for your alliance to lay low that week and to allow a floater or someone else to win HoH. You wouldn't have been on the radar. Joe was already a target and an annoyance, and someone else would have taken him out anyway. So the person that would have left under someone else left, and you were exposed.

Making it even worse for you, Dick went on to win HoH, and you were all in danger. And your savior, Kail, ratted you all out, turning on your alliance. Dick put her and Jen up and made it clear to everyone that you were next in line if one of them came off the block. You stayed clear from being around Kail pretty much, but come PoV, you tried intimidating Dick, which just made no sense. You said you were trying to show you would be true to your alliance, but if you would have stayed out of it and let Dick win, you would have been safe. Kail or Jen would be gone, but it didn't matter; your alliance was dead at soon as Kail sold you under the river anyway. So you were proving your allegiance to a person that already sold you down the river and you knew it?

It comes down to this ... you aligned with the wrong people at the wrong time. You didn't think this through, and went into the alliance seemingly blindly. Had you not been in the alliance, you wouldn't have been a target, even though you still would have been just as quiet and reserved.

You could have gone far in the game if you would have been just as reserved in your alliance-making as you had been with your personality. You're a big guy, obviously good athletically with with what we saw during the Cro-Magnon comp. That took you far. It was the most personality we saw of you, and the problem was, it wasn't your personality, it was "Magnus." You lasted long in the week 3 HoH comp, so you showed an ability to win comps. What you needed to save yourself at this point was to show you weren't a threat and that you were fun to be around. Instead, you stayed holed up and intimidated Dick when you were already home free that week if you would have just laid low.

Sadly, you did all that in the PoV comp to show your were true to your word, and the only ones that backed you up were Zach, a guy that is true to his word and beliefs but scares the crap out of everyone, and Eric, who wasn't true to you, but was just being true to us.

The next time a 40 year old woman who openly claims to have an IQ at a genius level "like around 30", an ex-football player, and a pervert streaker want to align with you, say no. Just say no.
